It's always too early for Christmas. I effortlessly remain entzaubert despite the quaint Weihnachtsmärkte breaking out all over Berlin. Oh, and a trip to the "Staabi" gives the lie to German socialism.
The Staabi is not your everyday library. You go there if you want original Newspapers from 1949 or a print of Luthers 95 theses and as such is mainly used by Researchers. The Amerika Gedenk Bibliothek is a better adress for everyday needs :)
Like the National Archives in DC! That makes a hell of a lot more sense. We've got libraries like that too. I'm guessing children probably aren't banned from normal libraries? Schade...
