German TV and PDA

    One of my favorite commercials was for Wagner Pizza, and completely in English. You see an American family at the dinner table and mommy preparing the food. "Whats for dinner mommy?" - "It's Pizza." - "Real American Pizza! We love Pizza!". - "Oh, it's Wagner. It's from Deutschland". - "Wagner? ... We love Wagner! We love Deutschland! And we all love mommy!" The End. Talk about Stereotypes, but it was hilarious.

    You were right about the TV cameras, they are not generally allowed in court rooms (had to look that up myself). However I think real court cases would be too boring for the private stations, so they make stories up and let bad actors play.

    The channels like ARD, ZDF, arte have a higher niveau, but can be quite boring. I guess at midnight they'd show either news, a documentary or a parlament debate.
